CERT training in Monument Sept. 20-24, 2022

PLEASE READ! This is three weeknights and one Saturday!  Registrants should plan to attend all units on all four dates for successful course completion. Choose your session by the START date listed  (Sept. 20). The "add to calendar" feature of this website will only add the first day to your calendar - be sure to add all four! The September session will be held in MONUMENT. This session runs Wednesday through Friday from 6:00 to 9:55 p.m. AND Saturday the 5th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Registrants will receive further information including emergency contact form and liability waiver via email. 

About the training content: CERT training includes basic skills for helping your community - and yourself - be more resilient. If a disastrous event overwhelms or delays professional responders, citizens can be better prepared to protect themselves and support others by applying the knowledge and skills that they learn during training. These skills can help save and sustain their lives following a disaster until help arrives: Local Risks and Hazards - Individual & Neighborhood Disaster Preparedness - Fire Safety & Extinguisher Practice; Hazardous Materials Awareness: Light Search & Rescue - Terrorism Awareness - Disaster Medical Operations - Severe Bleeding Control - Psychological First Aid - Animals in Disasters
